Scott Westlotorn Enterprises, Inc. has been in the abalone business since 1969. A processor and distributor of wild harvested abalone in Santa Barbara, California under the Santa Barbara Abalone brand. With the closure of the wild abalone fishery by the State of California Department of Fish and Game in May 1997 our enterprise now focuses on cultured abalone.
The two distinct abalone products we produce requires knowledge and experience with the nature of abalone.
Estero Bay Abalone steaks, once an abundant California delicacy, are processed using a proprietary method that ensures succulent flavor and tenderness in the traditional style.
Man-Ling California Sun Dried Abalone are preserved in a traditional Chinese style. There are only a few people in the world capable of preserving the rich flavor and tenderness of dried abalone for the discerning connoisseur. In this enterprise we have 70 years of experience.
The abalone shell is also an important item in our portfolio of products. In addition to specimen shells for collectors we have developed another proprietary product for jewelers and craft people to utilize the beauty of abalone shells with crushed and tumbled pieces. The pieces have a lustrous natural finish with rich colors and come in random shapes graded by size.
Abalone has a place of high regard in many cultures and we enjoy being a part of this historical enterprise.
